三年级的学生大多是第一次正式接触英语,从和他们的谈话中,我发现有很多的孩子是渴望学英语的,所以起初的几堂英语课他们也都非常认真。可是,当学习的单词越来越多时,有很多孩子因为记不住单词而苦恼。记不住单词,不仅别人所说的他听不懂,而且自己更是不用单独开口。就这样,教师越教越多,学生越学越没有劲儿。班上能达到优秀的最多只有五六个,良好的大约有七八个,剩下的就全是不愿意学英语的。我想,这或许是因为我们的学校和家长都不够重视这门学科的缘故吧,结果竟导致学生觉得英语课上不上没关系。试想,孩子们有了这样的态度,能学好知识吗?当然这也有老师的责任。结合这几年对小学三年级课程的研究,我总结了几下以点策略: (一)从课堂的四十分钟抓起。 1、培养孩子们的兴趣。每堂英语课前,我会陪着孩子们一块儿唱英语歌,并且陪着他们一块儿做动作。这样孩子们可以在很轻松的氛围中学习英语。 2、提高他们的积极性。每堂英语课上,我总是会拿着自己亲手做好的单词卡片去上课的。我告诉孩子们,卡片是老师亲手做的,如果谁会读上面的单词,老师就会把那一张奖给他,到学期末统计时,谁得到的卡片最多,谁就是班上 小小单词王 。结果,孩子们对这个还真的是十分感兴趣,他们对我卡片上的单词记忆得特别牢。另外,我还用奖励他们小贴画的方式来鼓励他们上台来用英语进行对话和表演。 3、教孩子们巧记单词。在教孩子们学习单词的过程中,我总是有意识地渗透一些字母以及字母组合的常规发音方法,这样对他们记忆单词有不少帮助。有时我还把一些单词串起来,编成儿歌来教他们,效果比这样干巴巴地教他们好多了。 (二)做好每位家长的思想转化工作。 要想孩子们学好英语,家长的态度也是非常重要的。我通过打电话和放学时与家长当面交谈的方式告诉他们,现在英语课是主课,也已经纳入考试科目,希望家长们对这门科目要象对待语文、数学一样重视,并要求每一位家长都要为自己的孩子配上复读机和与课本配套的英语磁带。同时还要求家长要给自己的孩子制定一个学习计划,督促孩子们每天都能在家里听半个小时的英语。 通过以上策略的实施,我明显地感觉到,孩子们不但对英语学习的积极性提高了,学习的效率也好多了。课本上所学的每一首英语歌曲,孩子们都会唱;课本上的部分单词,大部分孩子都能做到会认、会说;而且,每堂课上的表演环节都有孩子争先恐后地想上台表演。更让人感到欣慰的是,英语课前,班上几个英语学得特别好的学生还会在班上组织带读。我想,虽然班上的孩子还不是个个英语都学得很好,但至少这已是一种可喜的局面,同时,我也对孩子们未来的英语学习更加地有信心。
